It is a fact that we are in the midst of the effects of global warming. Thus, we need to know the global warming causes for us to be able to understand and eventually make a difference by doing our part to minimize its effects.

There are many influences why global warming is happening. One of the major contributors for it is the greenhouse gases emitted by humans. Do you know that most of them come from the combustion of fossil fuels in cars and electricity? The sad thing about it is there is a direct correlation to human population and the increase in the temperature of the earth’s atmosphere. We make use of the natural resources, we pollute the world, we use vehicles that emit harmful gases, and we make use of electricity. Without knowing, we have been contributing to it and by knowing, we can do something about it.

Since we are one of the major global warming causes and the evidence that point to us is strong, we should do what we can make a difference. A perfect example is Earth Hour wherein people are encouraged to turn-off the electricity for an hour. Small things such as these matters in the long run. Other ways to help are the following: planting more trees, using our vehicles less and spreading the word about global warming. By doing these, we become the solution and not the cause of the problem.
